The countdown continues. Behind today’s door in the Advent Calendar is…the rose!
Festive Fact: Roses are of course one of the most popular flowers, regularly topping polls of the public's favourite flowers. But did you know that roses have been into space? A rose called the 'Overnight Scentsation' was taken into NASA's shuttle flight STS-95 in 1998. The experiment? To see if the rose smelled as sweet in space as it does down below on earth. (Apparently it does still smell sweet, but it doesn't smell quite the same!)
