HISTORY
A former mining town, no remnants of that industry or even major employers have a presence in Tullibody. Now, many of its residents commute to Stirling and Alloa for work. Rapid expansion in housebuilding has been going on in town since the 1990s and early 2000s.
St Serf was thought to have set up a church on the site of the present Auld Kirk during the fifth century. According to folklore, Kenneth MacAlpin, the King of Scots, gathered his army on Baingle Brae where they fought and subdued the Picts.
Tullibody's claim to fame is owed to David I of Scotland when he granted the lands and fishing rights to Cambuskenneth Abbey in 1149. This was also the time when Auld Kirk was erected and it still stands there today.

Menstrie Castle – around 400 years old and located in the former mill town of Menstrie, which is at the foot of the Ochil Hills. The castle is part of the Clackmannanshire Tower Trail which includes Alloa Tower, Castle Campbell, Clackmannan Tower and Sauchie Tower. Unlike the aforementioned towers, Menstrie is a crenellated manor house while the others are fortified medieval towers. It stands at three storeys tall and looks imposing.
Clackmannan Tower – dates back to the 14th century and sits at the summit of King's Seat Hill in Clackmannanshire. The structure is five storeys tall and it is one of the most impressive towers in Scotland. Originally, it was built by King David II of Scotland who then sold it to his cousin, Robert the Bruce in 1359.
National Wallace Monument – a tower that stands on the summit of Abbey Craig, a hilltop located close to Stirling, Scotland. The monument commemorates Sir William Wallace, a 13th-century Scottish hero. There are exhibits and displays here that tell the story of Sir William Wallace.
University of Stirling, Art Collection – features a variety of artworks which include paintings, sketches, tapestries, sculpture and silver. A lot of the collection dates back to the late 1960s and 1970s with works by Heron, Paolozzi, Sutherland, Frink and Hepworth.
